With the Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) raising objections to the ongoing odd-even scheme, a bench of the Delhi High Court Monday asked the government whether lawyers could be exempted for the remaining duration of the scheme.

The bench of Chief Justice G Rohini and Justice Jayant Nath asked the government to consider the proposal. Delhi government’s senior standing counsel Rahul Mehra is expected to respond to the court’s query Tuesday. However, Mehra objected to the plea filed by DHCBA president Rajiv Khosla, and said the scheme would “end in only four days”.
