A 28-year-old man was killed inside his residence in Northeast Delhi’s Karawal Nagar area Wednesday. The footage of the incident was captured on the CCTV camera installed inside his house, said police.
The victim, identified as Bunty, worked with an ice cream-manufacturing company in Anand Vihar.
The motive behind the murder may have been a fight Bunty had with some people on Diwali, said police. The attack took place Wednesday at about 11 pm, when some people barged into his house and attacked him with knives and sticks, said police.
By the time Bunty’s parents realised what was happening, the assailants had fled, said police.
Bunty was rushed to GTB Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries in the early hours of Saturday. A case of murder has been registered at Karawal Nagar police station.
“The motive behind the murder is suspected to be personal rivalry, but we are questioning Bunty’s friends and associates,” said a police officer.
