A 29-year-old inmate allegedly hanged himself inside the Tihar jail, officers said on Friday.
The jail administration identified the deceased as Imran alias Raja, who was lodged in Central Jail number 4 since February 24 and was facing trial in an armed robbery case of Model Town.
“He hanged himself inside the common bathroom of ward number 6 of central jail number 4…” said an official. “He was declared dead around 11.53 am by the jail doctor,” the official added.
