A 24-year-old man was found dead Friday morning in a hotel in West Delhi’s Paschim Vihar in what the police said was a case of alleged suicide.
According to the Delhi Police, they received a PCR call at 7.12 am at the Paschim Vihar East Police Station regarding the incident. When they arrived at the scene, the police discovered the man’s body in a room at the hotel.
The deceased has been identified as Abhinav Sagar, a resident of Nihal Vihar. According to the police, a young woman was also present in the hotel room at the time of the investigation.
“During the inquiry, it was revealed that the two knew each other for some time. They had some verbal arguments the previous day,” said Sachin Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer Delhi).
Sharma said legal action, as per the findings, will be taken accordingly.
The police are yet to find the exact cause leading to Sagar’s death. A crime team inspected the scene, and further investigation is ongoing, said the police.
