Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Thursday launched Congress’s fourth and fifth guarantees that promised subsidised LPG cylinders for Rs 500 for every family with a free ration kit and 300 units of free power per family.
Earlier, the party had announced Rs 2,500 per month for every woman under the ‘Pyari Didi Yojna’ and Rs 25-lakh health insurance for every resident from birth to death. In addition, the party had also promised a monthly stipend worth Rs 8,500 for all educated and unemployed youth for a year for skill development.
Similar to the Congress government that fulfilled all its promises within 13 months of coming to power in Telangana, in Delhi too, Reddy said all five promises would be delivered “immediately after returning to power”.
The guarantees announced, the Telangana CM said, will give the people “freedom from inflation and price rise”. He went on to accuse both AAP and the BJP of ruining the Delhi families amid sky-rocketing inflation, which has “impacted housewives the most”.
Reddy added that LPG cylinders for Rs 500 per family and a free ration kit per month containing 5kg rice, 2kg sugar, 1 litre edible oil, 6 kg pulse and 250 gms of tea will “allow families to sleep peacefully, instead of worrying about where would their next meal will come from.”
