The family of the 12-year-old help,who was rescued from Noida,has been traced by the Bihar Police. Police said contrary to the claims of the Dalit girls former employers,her family had no idea that she was in Noida. The employers,against whom the Noida police lodged an FIR on Thursday,are absconding.
Police said the girls medical examination was conducted,which found a series of injuries on her body.
The girls mother had no idea that the girl was not in Patna. Her neighbour,who works as a help in Patna,had taken her there on the pretext of getting her employed. But she was sent to Delhi,instead. We are looking at the possibility of this being an organised racket, a senior police officer said.
Police have lodged an FIR against the girls former employer under sections pertaining to the SC/ST Act,JJ Act and Bonded Labour Act.
