Kidnapped four-month-old infant rescued; woman held in Ghaziabad
The matter came to light after the infant’s mother, who lives on a footpath, approached the police alleging that a woman named Aarti, who had befriended the family, disappeared with her child.
The police traced Aarti to Loni in Ghaziabad, from where she was arrested and the baby was rescued. Police said Aarti, mother of three daughters, kidnapped the boy as she hoped to raise a son.
A four-month-old infant, kidnapped from the Old Delhi railway station area, was rescued within 18 hours by the Kotwali police on Wednesday, officers said.
