A Delhi court on Tuesday fixed to August 28 the hearing in a perjury case against Bollywood actor Shayan Munshi in connection with the Jessica Lall murder case. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Pooran Chand posted the matter to August 28 due to the ongoing strike by lawyers in district courts.
Munshi, who is facing prosecution for allegedly turning hostile in the murder case, on Tuesday moved a plea seeking exemption from personal appearance for the day and the court allowed his application. The other accused, Prem Manocha, who was working as a ballistics expert at the time of the case, however, appeared before the court.
