Cab driver, two others injured as Jaguar rams into two vehicles in Dhaula Kuan

The accused, a 23-year-old student, was later tracked down and arrested.

Three people, including a cab driver, suffered severe injuries after a Jaguar vehicle rammed into two vehicles in Southwest Delhi’s Dhaula Kuan here on Sunday.

The accused, a 23-year-old student, was later tracked down and arrested.

The incident took place early in the morning when the Jaguar hit the cab and another vehicle before ramming into a divider.

DCP (Southwest) Rohit Meena said police received a PCR call around 4.55 pm regarding the accident.

On reaching the spot, police found that the injured persons had already been shifted to the hospital, he added.

Police have received the MLC (Medico Legal Report) of the injured cab driver, Shakarpur resident Harjeet Singh, at 8.32 am from AIIMS Hospital, as well as the two persons in the cab.

According to an officer, the Jaguar, which was coming from the wrong side, first collided into the Swift cab with three persons, including the cab driver, inside. After this, it hit another vehicle before ramming into the divider. No one inside the second vehicle suffered any injuries, police added.

The injured persons, occupants of the first car, are said to have sustained severe head injuries and are currently receiving treatment.

The occupants of the Jaguar, the driver and a woman, also suffered minor injuries but quickly fled the spot.
The accused has been identified as Saurabh Pahwa, who is pursuing 3rd year BBA from JIMS, Rohini. His father is a property dealer.
