Govt targets encroachers

Steps to remove encroachments were initiated along 2.5 km on Najafgarh Road, from Jakhira Crossing to Moti Nagar, on Tuesday.

The Delhi government has identified 11 corridors for removal of encroachments in the city. Steps to remove encroachments were initiated along 2.5 km on Najafgarh Road, from Jakhira Crossing to Moti Nagar, on Tuesday.

Secretary (PWD) Arun Baroka said, “As per directions of the Lt-Governor, the drive to remove encroachments will continue over the next few days along Aurobindo Marg (from Safdarjung madrassa to Mehrauli), Ring Road, Wazirabad Road, Vikas Marg (from ITO chungi to Karkari Chowk), Vikaspuri, Captain Gaur Marg (from Lajpat Nagar to Ma Anandmayee Marg up to Mehrauli-Badarpur Road), Najafgarh Road, Rohtak Road, etc.”
