Additional Sessions Judge Vimal Kumar Yadav granted bail to Tomar on the condition that he would not travel outside the capital without permission from the court.

The sessions court on Wednesday had reserved its order on Tomar’s bail plea for Thursday. During arguments, advocate Harshit Jain, appearing for Tomar, had sought bail saying the entire case was based on documentary evidence and there was no question of Tomar tampering with evidence or influencing witnesses.

Additional Public Prosecutor Atul Srivastava had opposed the plea on the grounds that investigation was still going on and Tomar could influence witnesses as he was an influential position.
