Expedite project delivery: Delhi Chief Secretary tells officers

The CS has also asked the officials to completely switch to the e-office system and clear the files in a timely manner

After assuming charge, the newly appointed Chief Secretary (CS) Rajeev Verma has directed all the departments to expedite all the projects targeted to be completed by the end of this year, officials said.

According to officials, Verma had held a meeting with the Finance and other concerned departments last week, and reviewed the current financial status of the Delhi government.

“In the meeting, the departments were asked to speed up the work and finish it by the targeted date of completion. Use the funds and seek approval from whichever department is needed. He has also directed the officials to not sit on files for long and delay…Every department has been asked to work in synergy, so the projects and public works are delivered timely,” said a senior official.

The CS has also asked the officials to completely switch to the e-office system and clear the files in a timely manner, they added.
