Dogo Argentino attacks stray dog, owner booked for negligence

A video of the incident went viral on social media, where the pet dog was seen viciously biting the stray dog.

The owner of a Dogo Argentino has been booked for negligence by Noida Police after his pet attacked and injured a stray dog.

A video of the incident went viral on social media, where the pet dog was seen viciously biting the stray dog. The owner was seen trying to stop his dog but to no avail.

After many social media users raised concerns, police booked the owner.

Police said the incident took place on Sunday in Noida Sector 53. “On Sunday, his (the man’s) pet dog attacked a stray and injured it badly. The owner of the dog was present at the spot, but he did not stop his dog from attacking,” said SI Karunesh from Sector 24 police station, who filed the complaint in the case.
A case under IPC section 289 (negligent conduct with respect to animal) has been registered. Noida Additional DCP Shakti Mohan Avasthy said they are looking for the owner and further legal action will be taken.
