Delhi weather: Tuesday began on a rainy note for Delhiites as a Western disturbance sparked an orange alert in the national capital. The intermittent rainfall in Delhi-NCR since Monday afternoon also brought down temperatures. On Tuesday, the temperature was around 21 degrees Celsius.
As per the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) forecast for Tuesday: “Fairly Widespread light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning, gusty winds (30-40 kmph) very likely.” The rain is expected to subside on Wednesday.

The wind speed will also remain fairly high with gusts reaching up to 50 kmph. The minimum temperature could dip to 20 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature could come down to 38 degrees Celsius. Isolated heavy rainfall is likely as well in Delhi.
From 2:30 am to 5:30 am on Tuesday, Delhi received a total of 24 mm rain, as per the IMD. The rain caused waterlogging in several parts of Delhi, such as Mehrauli and Badarpur Road, early on Tuesday.
