Senior advocate N Hariharan was elected president of the Delhi High Court Bar Association, after winning the elections on Sunday.
Hariharan won the polls by 87 votes, after polling 2,967 votes. He will replace the incumbent president, senior advocate Mohit Mathur.
Senior advocates Kirti Uppal, Abhijat, and Vivek Sood also contested the post of president of DHCBA. Senior advocate Sacchin Puri won the vice-presidential seat of DHCBA by a margin of 2,620 votes, after polling 4,515 votes.
Meanwhile, three petitions have been filed in the HC challenging the bar elections at Patiala House, Saket and Rouse Avenue courts. One of the petitions highlighted the discrepancy in number of eligible voters and the votes polled at Patiala House.
