Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar Thursday began the Delhi leg of the BJP’s nationwide outreach programme, based on the achievements of the Narendra Modi government’s nine-year tenure, from a Gurdwara in West Delhi.

During his participation in the five-hour ‘Sampark Se Samarthan’ programme, which began from the Guru Arjun Dev Ji Gurdwara in New Mahavir Nagar, Jaishankar asked social media influencers to take the achievements of the Modi government and the growing popularity of India across the world to the people through various media.

In addition to meeting a delegation of 1984 anti-Sikh riots victims, he also met Sikh refugees displaced from Kabul and students evacuated from Ukraine.

He also called on noted photographer and Padma Shri awardee Narendra Bedi, retired Lt. General S.K. Gulati at their homes in Rajouri Garden and, in addition to presenting them booklets of the Modi government’s achievements, sought their support for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The programme concluded with a meeting at a senior party worker, K.K. Pathak’s residence followed by a dinner at former mayor and veteran BJP worker Prithviraj Sahni’s home.
