Delhi BJP chief Sachdeva elected to top archery post

Delhi BJP president and Archery Association of India Secretary General Virendra Sachdeva has been elected to the Executive Board of World Archery Asia with the highest number of votes at a meeting held in Dhaka, the Delhi BJP said in a press statement.

Calling it a “golden day for Indian sports”, the Delhi BJP said Sachdeva’s election reflects the growing recognition of India’s leadership in archery.

Five other Indians were also elected to various positions in World Archery Asia. The 24th Asian Archery Championships began in Dhaka on Saturday, featuring 209 archers from 30 countries, who are competing across 10 medal events.
