In a late-night decision,the Congress released a final list of candidates for the December 4 polls that included Harsharan Singh Balli as the party’s nominee from the Hari Nagar constituency. S K Setia was earlier nominated from this seat,which changed after Balli,a four-time BJP MLA jumped ship to the Congress after he was denied a ticket.
The Congress also nominated Dhanvantri Chandela from Rajouri Garden in her husband Dayanands stead after the party high command took exception to serious charges against the MLA. West Delhi MP Mahabal Mishra’s son Vinay was nominated from Palam,while Sajjan Kumar’s son Jagpravesh will contest from Sangam Vihar.
