The DDA has notified new rules that will facilitate redevelopment of 22 industrial clusters across the city,industries minister Ramakant Goswami said on Monday. Following Supreme Court directions in 1996,the state government recommended all residential areas where a chunk of plots were being used to run industries should be redeveloped as fully industrial areas.
HC seeks status report on 2 missing children
New Delhi:Displeased over its failure in tracing two children who have been missing since October last year,the Delhi High Court on Monday sought a status report from the police on the case in three days. Police should have been more sensitive in taking steps to trace the minor children of the petitioner,instead of fulfilling the formalities of the standing order, said the court,while asking the Addl CP,West district,to monitor the case. The court was hearing a petition by one Shish Pal Singh,seeking direction to police to trace his 14 and 12-year-old sons,who he claimed went missing from Nihal Vihar area in West Delhi in October last year.
