As many as 24 activists of the Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena (BSKS) were arrested for allegedly creating a ruckus at a seminar organised by the Popular Front of India (PFI) at Ramlila Maidan,Central Delhi,on Friday. The activists were arrested under Sections 107 and 151 of the IPC (for knowingly joining or continuing in the assembly of five or more persons,after it has been commanded to disperse). They were later remanded in judicial custody. Police said the arrested activists had gathered there to cause a nuisance during the seminar on social justice,organised by the PFI.
Man killed,2 hurt in road mishap
NEW DELHI: A man was killed and two others were injured when their motorcycle rammed into a taxi,which was pulling over to the side in Delhi Cantonment,Southwest Delhi,on Saturday evening. The victim has been identified as Sukhwindejeet Singh (35),a resident of Patiala. The accident occurred around 4 pm. Singh,who was riding the motorcycle,rammed into the van on NH-8. The driver of the van also suffered injuries. They were rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Centre,where Singh was declared dead on arrival. The other two are recuperating. A case has been registered.
