62-year-old retired teacher ends life in Moti Nagar

Police have not recovered a suicide note from the spot. Foul play is not suspected,police said.

A 62-year-old retired government school teacher allegedly committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan at his residence in West Delhi’s Moti Nagar area on Saturday evening. The teacher,identified as Madan Mohan Chopra,was depressed after he was diagnosed with cancer,police said. Chopras daughter had gone to meet him,when she found him hanging,police said. Chopra was rushed to the hospital and declared dead on arrival. Police have not recovered a suicide note from the spot. Foul play is not suspected,police said.
