2 held for law student’s rape

Police claimed that Mohammad Atar Khan, the ASI’s son, and his cousin Mohammad Anam Khan, had videographed the act.

Both are students of a private university in Uttar Pradesh, police said. The victim told police that the two men had laced her drink with sedatives before raping her.

According to police, the incident took place on January 31 and was reported to them on February 2. The woman came into contact with Atar through a social networking site.

On the pretext of inviting her to a birthday party, Atar called her to a hotel in Pitampura where he had booked a room, police said.

She said Atar offered her a drink laced with sedatives and later raped her. His cousin too misbehaved with her.

Later, the duo started threatening her, saying they had videographed the act.
On February 2, she called police. Her medical examination has confirmed rape, police said.
