12-year-old dies in hit-and-run in North Delhi

A 12-year-old girl was killed in a hit-and-run accident in North Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar on Friday afternoon. Police said the victim, Manvi Pal, was a Class 7 student of DAV School in Model Town.

According to police, a PCR call regarding the accident was received around 2.30 pm. By the time officers reached the spot, the girl had been taken to Fortis Hospital in Shalimar Bagh, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The deceased lived with her family in Rameshwar Nagar in Azadpur. Preliminary inquiry revealed that she was returning home on an electric scooter with her grandfather, when an unidentified vehicle hit them. The grandfather sustained minor injuries to his leg.
