Drawing inspiration from the Model United Nations Conference (MUN),where students act as representatives of countries in a mock UN conference,a group of four youngsters who studied together have come up with a platform which they claim will be bigger than the MUN.

Analysing the MUN concept, the team observed that it only focussed on those who wish to make their career in United Nations. However, ‘I Can’ will provide a platform to those who aspire for careers in corporate, government sector and want to be doctors, engineers or military personnel. ‘I Can’,unlike MUN,will not take as much time to provide knowledge about areas they care about and relate to.

Co-founder of the organisation,Devyani said,“We believe researching about particular issues time and again for each conference becomes repetitive and often takes away a lot of time which could be utilised to develop life skills and soft skills in students.”

After launching ‘I Can’ in schools of Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand, the team will be introducing the organisation in Vivek High School,Sector 38,where the team will hold a conference on November 30 and December 1 for students of classes IX-XII.

“We award a cash prize of Rs 10,000 to students who come up with the best social or business idea. Further,if these students wish to go forward with their idea after school we give them mentorship and support till the age of 25,” said Devyani.
