Two in police net for stealing motorbikes

The Special Technical Operation Cell of the Chandigarh Police,on Thursday,arrested two persons on charges of snatching,robbery and stealing motorbikes

The Special Technical Operation Cell (STOC) of the Chandigarh Police,on Thursday,arrested two persons on charges of snatching,robbery and stealing motorbikes. The two arrested have been identified as Bittu and Pardeep,both residents of Sector 52 colony,and were sent to judicial remand. The duo are in their mid-twenties

As many as seven FIRs stand registered against Bittu and four against Pardeep.

Following a tip-off,an anti-snatching check post was set up near Kainbwala village. During the checking a Pulsar motorcycle bearing a fake number plate was stopped and Bittu and Pardeep were taken for further questioning.

During the interrogation police found that the motorcycle was stolen from Mohali on Wednesday night. The accused also disclosed that they had snatched a gold chain on June 25 at Sector 10-16 dividing road near Leisure Valley.
