Nearly four months after V K Singh, Special Chief Secretary to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, retired and vacated the top post in the Chief Minister’s Office, the government appointed 2006-batch IAS officer Ravi Bhagat as principal secretary to the CM on Sunday.

Bhagwat has been serving as the special principal secretary to the chief minister. He will also retain the additional role of administrative secretary for the Public Works Department (Buildings and Roads) as well as secretary of the Punjab Rural Development Board.
