The Ratawara Sahib Trust has announced a structured relief campaign for families affected by the recent floods. A special meeting held at Gurdwara Isher Prakash Ratawara Sahib, chaired by Baba Lakhbir Singh, finalised the plan, emphasising the Sikh principle of “Sarbat da Bhala” welfare for all.
Survey teams will visit flood-hit villages to assess needs, after which relief material will be dispatched accordingly. The trust has set September 10 as the deadline to complete distribution. The package will include mosquito nets, winter clothing, medicines, children’s books, and other essentials, all newly procured through community contributions.
He said, “Volunteers and local youth will ensure direct delivery to affected families, while doctors and teachers are expected to hold medical camps and educational support drives.”
With a history of seva during floods, earthquakes, and the pandemic, the trust reaffirmed its commitment to organised, compassionate relief work, said Baba Lakhbir Singh.
