The total number of dengue cases has risen to 377 so far out of which 227 positive dengue cases are from Chandigarh. In a suspected case of dengue,a woman died at GMCH- 32 on Friday.

Madhu,the woman,was admitted three days ago suffering from fever. Officials said that they could notascertain if the woman died of dengue.

A team of epidemiologists and microbiologists visited villages to review the enhanced activities of the field staff. Door-to-door supervising visits was conducted and anti-larval activity was done,as well as local fogging in government institutions in certain sectors.
