Chandigarh property registration: The Chandigarh Administration has streamlined property registration by introducing several online services to enhance convenience for residents. Traditionally, individuals had to visit the Deputy Commissioner’s office for tasks such as document submission, fee payments, and other registration-related activities.

The newly launched services include the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS), an Online Event Permissions System, and Online Certified Copies of Records of Rights. These were inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav at the Sub-Registrar Office in Chandigarh.

The NGDRS modernizes the property registration process by allowing residents to schedule appointments online, thereby reducing the necessity for in-person visits to the registrar’s office. Additionally, the system facilitates online payment of registration fees and enables users to track the status of their document registration requests in real-time. Registered deeds are also delivered online. Residents can access these services through the portal.

Furthermore, the Revenue Department’s ownership records for over 35,000 shareholders are now accessible online. Residents can apply for, track, and download certified copies of Records of Rights (RoR) via the website. Previously, obtaining certified copies of RoR and event permissions required manual applications. These services are now fully available online.

The Deputy Commissioner has directed officials to ensure the seamless operation of these services, aiming to make property registration in Chandigarh more efficient and user-friendly.

For more information and to access these services, residents can visit the official Chandigarh Administration websites:

• Online Certified Copy of Record of Rights (RoR):

• Online Event Permissions System:

These initiatives are part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to leverage technology for improved public service delivery.
