Literary society holds events for young writers
Chandigarh: The newly formed Chandigarh Literary Society (CLS) will be holding literary events to encourage young writers in English,Hindi and Punjabi. The CLS has been formed with a view to promote literary activities in Chandigarh and nearby areas. A bureaucrat,Sumita Misra,who is also an author and poet is the Chairperson of the CLS. At present Misra is posted as Chief Electoral Officer and Commissioner and Secretary Elections,Haryana.
The founding members of the CLS included professor Manju Jaidlka,Bipin Kumar,Vivek Atray,professor Pratibha Nagpal,professor Meera Malik,professor Harpreet Pruthi,Saguna Jain,Bela Sahgal and Jyoti Kamal. Renowned author Madhav Kaushik is the Secretary of the Chandigarh Literary Society.
St Paul School marks annual day
SAS NAGAR: Marking the annual day on Monday,tiny tots of St Paul School presented a talent show titled Talanton Talisman. Senior BJP Leader and Former Union Minister Harmohan Dhawan presided over the function. Principal of Hansraj Public school,Panchkula,and recipient of CBSE national award Jaya Bhardwaj was guest of honour. Senior students of the school delivered dance performances. The tiny tots of the school also presented a Veggie Fashion Show highlighting the importance of healthy food. Students of class I presented umbrella dance,while aerobics were performed by Class II students.
