A woman who had been admitted in PGI for two months,following a road accident,died on Thursday at PGI hospital. Sunita Devi,the victim,was hit by a car near Sector 22 as she was crossing the road on June 21.
She was admitted at the Trauma Centre in PGI after the accident and expired there. According to the police,Sunita was injured by the speeding car as she was crossing the road at the zebra crossing.
Sunita was moving from Sector 22 to 35,near Bijwara market when she was hit by a car. The driver himself called the police and she was taken to PGI,where she was said to have sustained three fractures,including one in a leg, said a police source.
The victims husband lodged a complaint on Thursday,after her death,at Sector 35 police station where a case of causing death by negligence has been registered.
