An 18-year-old man was stabbed to death in the outskirts of Bengaluru over a road rage on Wednesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Rehman Ullah, a resident of the Sondekoppa village, situated 30 km away from Bengaluru. Ullah worked as a welder at a shop.

The incident took place around 9.30 pm when Ullah was returning home from Tavarekere on a two-wheeler. On the other hand, the suspect, Renuka Prasad, was driving a car from the Nelamangala end.

As the road was narrow, both Ullah and Prasad had to stop because of space constraints as their vehicles were unable to pass. An argument broke out as both of them wanted the other to roll their vehicle back. The two even hurled expletives at each other.

Amid the argument, Prasad took out a knife from his vehicle and stabbed Ullah. By then, a group of people had assembled at the spot but Prasad managed to escape from the spot.

The local residents shifted Ullah to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him dead.

Madanayakanahalli police have registered a murder case and have launched a manhunt to nab Prasad.
