Railway to run special trains from Bengaluru for Diwali. Check details

The South Western Railway has announced special train services in view of the Diwali festival.

Train No. 07353 SSS Hubballi–Mangaluru Jn Express Special will leave SSS Hubballi at 4 pm on October 17 and reach Mangaluru Junction at 11.15 am on October 18.Train No. 07353 SSS Hubballi–Mangaluru Jn Express Special will leave SSS Hubballi at 4 pm on October 17 and reach Mangaluru Junction at 11.15 am on October 18.

In view of the Diwali festival, the South Western Railway said on Monday that it would operate special trains, including to and from Bengaluru, to accommodate the increased number of passengers.

Diwali will be celebrated on October 20, Monday.

The details of these special trains are as follows:

1. Train No. 07353/07354 SSS Hubballi–Mangaluru Jn-Yesvantpur Express Special (1 trip)

Train No. 07353 SSS Hubballi–Mangaluru Jn Express Special will leave SSS Hubballi at 4 pm on October 17 and reach Mangaluru Junction at 11.15 am on October 18. It will halt at the SMM Haveri, Harihar, Davangere, Birur, Arsikere, Tumakuru, Yesvantpur, Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur, and Bantawala stations.

Train No. 07354 Mangaluru Jn–Yesvantpur Express Special will leave Mangaluru Junction at 2.35 pm on October 18 and reach Yesvantpur at 11.15 pm on the same day. The train will stop at the Bantawala, Kabakaputtur, Subrahmanya Road, Sakleshpur, Hassan, Channarayapatna, and Kunigal stations.

2. Train No. 06229/06230 Yesvantpur-Mangaluru Jn-Bengaluru Cantonment Express Special (1 trip)

Train No. 06229 Yesvantpur–Mangaluru Jn Express Special will depart from Yesvantpur at 12.15 am on October 19 and reach Mangaluru Junction at 11.15 am on the same day. The train will have stops at the Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur, and Bantawala stations.

Train No. 06230 Mangaluru Jn-Bengaluru Cantonment Express Special will leave Mangaluru Jn at 2.35 pm on October 19 and reach Bengaluru Cantonment at 12.30 am the next day. It will stop at the Bantawala, Kabakaputtur, Subrahmanya Road, Sakleshpur, Hassan, Channarayapatna, Kunigal, and SMVT Bengaluru stations.

Both pairs of special trains (07353/07354 and 06229/06230) will have 20 coaches, including 1 first-cum-second AC, 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 10 sleeper class, 4 general second class, and 2 SLR/D coaches.

3. Train No. 06507/06508 Belagavi-SMVT Bengaluru-Belagavi Express Special (1 trip)

Train No. 06507 Belagavi-SMVT Bengaluru Express Special will depart from Belagavi at 8 am on October 18, reaching SMVT Bengaluru at 7.45 pm on the same day. The return service, Train No. 06508, will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 9 pm on October 18 and arrive at Belagavi at 8.35 am on October 19.

The train will have stops at the Londa, Alnavar, Dharwad, SSS Hubballi, SMM Haveri, Harihar, Davangere, Birur, Arsikere, Tumakuru, and Chikbanavar stations in both directions.

This train will have 19 coaches, including 1 AC 2-tier, 3 AC 3-tier, 10 sleeper class, 3 general second class, and 2 SLR/D coaches.
