The court of the 85th additional city civil judge issued the temporary injunction on the official Congress Twitter accounts in the course of a commercial dispute case brought to the court by MRT Music over the alleged violation of copyrights held by the firm for music from KGF.

The court in its ex parte order ruled that the prima facie material produced before the court by MRT Music indicated that the firm could undergo “irreparable injury”.

The court said Congress “is directed to remove and take down the links from its platform till further orders”. It further ordered the blocking of two Twitter accounts.
