KAS officer denied bail by Lokayukta Special Court

HN Satyanarayana Rao said Lokayukta police have submitted a detailed report to the government and requested her suspension from service.

The Lokayukta Special Court dismissed the bail petition of Rajamma Chowda Reddy, a KAS officer who was arrested by the Lokayukta police on Saturday, and extended her judicial custody.  Reddy, secretary of the Bangalore Development Authority, was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs 7 lakh and arrested on April 25. Lokayukta police raided her residence in Koramangala and her office the next day and unearthed wealth including cash that was unaccounted for. Lokayukta police have submitted their objections to her bail plea petition saying Rajamma may influence the witnesses and destroy evidence. The hearing was held in a special court on Saturday and the court denied bail to the accused.  Additional Director General of Police (Lokayukta) HN Satyanarayana Rao said Lokayukta police have submitted a detailed report to the government and requested her suspension from service.
