The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Dharmasthala secret burials case on Tuesday questioned a Kerala YouTuber who had uploaded a video amplifying witness-complainant C N Chinnaiah’s claims that he had buried hundreds of bodies in the temple town in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district.

Speaking to reporters outside the Belthangady police station, Manaf, the YouTuber, said that the SIT had questioned him about videos on his channel. “I have submitted whatever I had,” he said.

Manaf rejected the allegation that he had uploaded the video even before Chinnaiah filed his complaint at the Dharmasthala police station in July. He said he had made the video based on the complaint.

According to sources, he was questioned about a video of Chinnaiah exhuming a skull in the forest around Dharmasthala. Chinnaiah had submitted the skull to the police while filing the complaint.

Manaf was questioned for the second consecutive day.

The SIT also questioned the uncle of a college girl who was raped and murdered in 2012. He is said to have been present when Chinnaiah exhumed the skeleton.

The SIT is said to have questioned another YouTuber, Abhishek, and another complainant in the case, T Jayanath, in connection with the case.
