Assam minister Ashok Singhal hosts Investor Roadshow in Bengaluru to promote ‘Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit 2025’

Ashok Singhal, Assam Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Irrigation, on Wednesday hosted an Investor’s Roadshow in Bengaluru, generating momentum for the highly anticipated Advantage Assam 2.0: Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025, set to take place in Guwahati on February 25 and 26.

The event, held at Hotel ITC Gardenia, highlighted Assam’s vast economic potential to over 200 investors, business leaders, policymakers, and industry experts.

Singhal emphasized Assam’s strategic positioning as India’s gateway to South and Southeast Asia and showcased several marquee projects, including India’s first International Multi-Modal Logistics Park in Jogighopa under the Bharatmala program, the Dhubri-Phulbari bridge that will reduce travel time between Bhutan and Bangladesh, Tata OSAT’s Rs 27,000 crore semiconductor project, and the elevated corridors planned for Kaziranga National Park.


He also highlighted Assam’s forward-thinking policies in green energy and emerging technologies, including Green Hydrogen and Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM).

Sectors such as aerospace, defense, food processing, and IT were also identified as key areas for investment, alongside the state’s commitment to sustainable tourism driven by its natural heritage, seven national parks, and three UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The roadshow featured key addresses by prominent dignitaries, including Mr. K. Ullas Kamath, Chairman of FICCI Karnataka State Council and Chairman of UK & Co., who delivered a virtual welcome address; Dr. P. Ashok Babu, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Government of Assam, who presented an in-depth overview of Advantage Assam; and Mr. Nitin Basant, Chief Technology Officer of NESFB, who spoke about Assam’s evolving financial ecosystem. Singhal’s keynote address set the vision for the state’s investment future.

The Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit will be preceded by a spectacular Jhumoir dance performance featuring over 8,000 youth on February 24. The event will be graced by Prime Minister of India and other Union ministers.
