The scheme was said to be part of the central government’s commitment to provide ‘Housing For All’ by 2022.

Under this scheme, the government aims to provide “pucca” houses measuring 25 square metres to those living in “kutcha” and dilapidated houses.

The cost of the housing unit is shared between the central and state governments in a 60:40 ratio.
