National Students Union of India’s (NSUI) former national delegate and Gujarat’s general secretary Hardik Dodia, along with other youth Congress workers, joined the BJP in the presence of Chief Minister Narendra Modi at a function on the S G Highway on Thursday.

Welcoming the members of the NSUI to the BJP fold,Modi assured them of healing their wounds and giving them due recognition to their capabilities. Addressing the new entrants,Modi also promised them equal chance to grow in the democratic setup of the BJP.

Modi said that the people would once again teach Congress a lesson, within six months,by defeating its candidates in the June 2 by-elections.

Dodia said he was in the NSUI for six years, but never got to meet Rahul Gandhi. But in the BJP,he was just six-day old and he could share the dais with Modi. He said he was fed up with the false promises of Gandhi about transforming the NSUI with a new system which never happened.

Dodia was recently expelled from NSUI for anti-party activities.
