On the occasion of the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Gujarat unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday announced a fortnight of various welfare activities across the state between September 17 and October 2.
General Secretary of Gujarat BJP Rajni Patel announced various activities to be organised by party workers across the state. The youth wing workers of the party held blood donation camps in the state on Tuesday, Patel said.
Between September 18 and 24, cleanliness drives will be organised at schools and hospitals in the state. During the fortnight, various sports persons from the state who have won medals at Paralympics 2024 as well as national and state-level competitions will be felicitated by the party.
On September 23, Patel said, free health screening of people above 60 will be carried out.
Between September 26 and October 2, seminars will be held on the theme of the book ‘Power Within: The Leadership Legacy of Narendra Modi’ written by Dr R Balasubramaniam.
At the same time, between September 17 and October 2, tree plantation drive will be held in the state under the Ek Ped Maa ke Naam campaign.
On October 2, statues of Mahatma Gandhi will be garlanded and the areas around it will be cleaned. Also, on the same day, Khadi will be purchased by BJP workers.
