Mukesh Ambani-controlled Reliance Jio on Thursday said the government should reject the bailout proposal of telecom companies at the taxpayer’s expense and telcos should be directed to deposit their dues within the court-stipulated timeline of three months as they have the capacity to comfortably clear their liabilities. 0

The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) on Tuesday sought stimulus from the government in the wake of the Supreme Court’s ruling mandating telecom carriers to pay Rs 1.3 lakh crore including interest on account of annual gross revenue (AGR), impacting the two incumbents the most.
