IBM bags deal from AP Grameen Vikas Bank to enhance IT infra

IBM,has bagged a deal from the Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank to enhance the rural bank's information infrastructure across 530 branches.

Global IT consulting firm,IBM,has bagged a deal from the Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank (APGVB) to enhance the rural bank’s information infrastructure across 530 branches.

APGVB,sponsored by the State Bank of India,will use IBM’s hardware platform to run its mission critical core banking application for data protection at all hours,the company said in a press release.

“IBM is happy to engage with AP Grameen Vikas Bank in their vision of transforming lives of rural citizens in the country. We will continue to support their endeavors and enable their ongoing operations and future expansion programs,” IBM India/ South Asia,Vice President,General Business,Systems and Technology Group,Ajay Mittal,said.

“With this win,IBM has once again proved to be the preferred vendor for mid-sized organizations who are focused on cost-efficiency without compromising on performance,” Mittal added.
