Flash Floods Paralyse Jammu-Srinagar Highway; Rescue Ops and Restoration Underway

Flash floods and landslides have severely disrupted life in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district, leading to the closure of the vital Jammu-Srinagar National Highway for the second consecutive day. Restoration efforts are ongoing at over 20 critical points, with the highway expected to reopen in six days. Hundreds of vehicles remain stranded, and rescue operations are in full swing. Commuters, including newlyweds, were seen walking on foot as authorities rushed to restore connectivity.
