Seven Buddhist Monks, Including Foreign Nationals, Killed in Sri Lanka Cable Car Accident

A cable car accident in Kurunegala, Sri Lanka, killed seven Buddhist monks, including three foreign nationals from Russia, India, and Romania. The tragedy occurred when a cable snapped mid-journey, sending the monks plummeting. Thirteen monks had been returning from religious observances when the accident struck.
