‘Big Ties Aren’t About Third Countries’: Jaishankar On India-US Ties | Quad Summit |

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, speaking in Washington after the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, rejected the idea that Pakistan affects India-US ties, stressing the relationship is built on mutual interests like trade, technology, energy, and mobility. He urged a confident foreign policy reflecting India’s global stature. Jaishankar also dismissed President Trump’s claim of brokering a ceasefire between India and Pakistan after Operation Sindoor, saying the decision was negotiated directly by both countries’ military leaders. He emphasized that India-US ties are driven by shared goals, not defined by third-party nations.
