HMD Global has launched five new smartphones at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Sunday. The list include the Nokia 1, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 6, Nokia 7 Plus, and Nokia 8110 4G. The latter smartphone is a rebranded version of the hit Nokia 8110, which was first launched in 1996. All these smartphones are expected to hit the market in the first half of 2018.

Nokia 1 is the first Android One (Go Edition) smartphone from HMD Global. Featuring a 4.5-inch IPS HD display, Nokia 1 will be powered by a MediaTek processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory. Backed by a 2000mAh battery, Nokia 1 runs Android Oreo out-of-the-box.
The phone is optimized to run the “Go” versions of Google apps, Google Go, Google Assistant Go, YouTube Go, Gmail Go, Google Maps Go and more. The dual SIM phone is priced at $85 (Rs 5,500 approx) and will be made available from April.

HMD Global has brought back the Nokia 8110 at MWC 2018. Popularly called the 'banana phone', this phone brings back the thrill of the 1990s, when it was first launched, with super-fast broadband capabilities as well as a Wi-Fi hotspot option. This is the company's bid to bring back nostalgic phones, like it did with the Nokia 3310 during the MWC 2017 edition. Nokia 8810 4G is priced at Eur 79 (or approx Rs 6285) and will be available in May.

The performance on this phone is set by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, and Android Oreo out-of-the-box. Nokia 8 Sirocco is priced at Eur 749 (or approx Rs 59,589) and will hit the retail shelves in April.

Nokia 7 Plus is the answer to the OnePlus 5T, and it shows in its design and specifications. Featuring a 6-inch Full HD+ display having an aspect ratio of 18:9, the premium mid-end phone runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 processor that is backed by a 3800 mAh battery. Carl Zeiss optics enable this phone's dual-rear cameras, that offer enhanced dual-sight functions.
The Nokia 7 Plus features a 12MP primary lens, and a 13MP secondary sensor with 2X optical zoom. HMD has improved upon the Bothie feature for the Nokia 7 Plus, as the company has promised improved performance for broadcasts made through YouTube and Facebook.

The company has also introduced an updated version of the Nokia 6, which promises to deliver a more compact body than its predecessor, along with Android Oreo and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 processor. Created with an aluminium unibody, the new Nokia 6 comes 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. This device is equipped with USB Type-C port for faster charging, with increased speed and Nokia’s spatial audio included.
Like the other Nokia launches, the 2018 version of the Nokia 6 will also get Carl Zeiss support for its cameras, that will allow dual-sight mode and the ‘bothie’ feature that had been introduced earlier To be made available at launch with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage option for Eur 279, the company could possibly introduce a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant as well.
