One of the most sought-after couples of Indian television, Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim, who recently tied the knot in Lucknow, hosted a grand reception party in Mumbai. It was attended by some of the most popular faces of the small screen including Sanaya Irani, Mohit Sehgal, Bharti Singh, Ratan Rajput to name a few. Kakar and Ibrahim first met on the sets of Sasural Simar Ka seven years ago and the two instantly hit it off. Let's have a look at who were the best and worst dressed at the party.
Kakar looked lovely in an off-white ethnic gown with golden floral embroidery all over it, which she styled with a matching dupatta. She accesorised her outfit with a heavy gold necklace and a matching maang tikka. For the make-up, she went for a dewy sheen, a little blush on the cheeks, well-defined eyes and bold red lips. Sanaya Irani looked gorgeous in a pink and golden salwar suit. The kurta featured golden embellishments along with a matching embroidery on the hem. She chose to style it without a dupatta and accessorised with a white clutch and golden danglers. Mohit Sehgal looked like a true gentleman in a black tuxedo. Sharad Kelkar, who attended the reception along with his wife Keerti Gaekwad Kelkar opted to go traditional. He was seen wearing an all-black kurta pyjama combo with a matching Nehru jacket. Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee were seen twinning in grey and black ensembles. While Choudhary opted for black trousers teamed with a matching shirt and a silver blazer, Bonnerjee wore what seemed like a sari-style dress combined with a silver blouse. The blouse featured cut-shoulder on one side and white floral applique detailing on it. We think Bonnerjee's experimentation with sari failed to hit the mark. Ratan Rajput took the traditional route in a sea green sari featuring golden polka dots all over it, which she styled with a matching sleeveless blouse. Like Debina Bonnerjee, Vindhya Tiwari too tried to experiment with her sari, which failed to impress us. She was seen donning a blue floral printed sari teamed with a red, tasseled off-shoulder blouse. Furthermore, it featured a thigh-high slit with a golden belt cinched at the waist. Aarti Singh kept it simple in a white and orange lehenga choli teamed with a bright orange dupatta featuring golden embroidery.
