For the in-house graduation collection showcase at the London College of Fashion, menswear designer Harikrishnan had models walk the ramp in inflatable trousers made from latex. The striped trousers were created in collaboration with Supatex, a UK-based latex manufacturer. The look was completed with ankle-length shoes designed in collaboration with Balya Ikka. On his Instagram, the designer wrote, "How to make latex vases. Major aspect of my collection was figuring out the patterns for inflatables and bringing the shape and form as good as I visualised. According to a Dezeen report, the designer got the idea for the collection when he was playing with his dog. "I started thinking about how exaggerated objects must look from such a low angle", the reports quotes him. (Source: harri_ks/Instagram)
"The thought of him seeing me as a giant figure or not seeing my head at all was intriguing.
