Marvel Studios on Monday evening surprised fans as it shared the first extensive look of its Phase 4 slate. The video also got many fans nostalgic as it paid tribute to their love for MCU's iconic characters, with a promise to visit them together in the near future. While some footage and announcements had been shared previously, there were a few pleasant surprises as well, including the name of Black Panther's sequel and its release date. The Black Panther sequel has been titled Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. It is scheduled to release on July 8, 2022. The cast of the movie is yet to be announced. The original was a massive hit and featured late actor Chadwick Boseman in the titular role. (Photo: Marvel Studios)
Another novelty about the Phase 4 video was the first exclusive footage from Oscar-winning filmmaker Chloe Zhao's Eternals. The costumes looked like a mish-mash of the present and bygone eras, especially Salma Hayek's cowgirl outfit. Hayek is reportedly playing the leader of the Eternals gang who have healing powers.
