While the 86th Academy Awards were was all glam and style on the red carpet, we had a few favourites with actresses who simply amazed us with their choice of evening gowns and get ups that complimented them.
Angelina Jolie: Angelina Jolie chose to ditch her usual black Oscar gowns with his beautiful Elie Saab shimmery nude number that was both elegant and stunning.
Jennifer Lawrence: Best Supporting Actress nominee, Jennifer Lawrence’s orange-red Dior gown was stylish yet simple. The colour was beautiful and striking and the peplum showed off her curves.
Lupita Nyong’o: Lupita Nyong'o's baby blue Prada gown was almost bridal yet the soft colour was soothing and worked beautifully on the actress’ skin tone.
Charlize Therono: Though Charlize Theron picked black, her Christian Dior gown was Oscar dramatic with the fishtail pattern.
Cate Blanchett: Cate Blanchett was easily a favourite in a champagne coloured intricately beaded Giorgio Armani gown.
Amy Adams: Amy Adams also made it to the best-dressed list in the Gucci sapphire gown that was both chic and elegant, owning to the delicate train.
Naomi Watts: Naomi Watts was an absolute vision in her floor-length Calvin Klein dress with its straight cut and cap sleeves.
Jennifer Garner: Jennifer Garner was another winner on the red carpet in the silver shimmery tasseled gown by Oscar de la Renta.
Sandra Bullock: Sandra Bullock's stunning midnight blue Alexander Mcqueen gown also made it to our list of best evening gowns. The side-pleat was something different and elegant.
Kate Hudson: Kate Hudson was not nominated for an Oscar tonight but she definitely won our approval in her silver Atelier Versace with the beaded detailing and dramatic train.
